Rim 2 Rim 2 Rim

Well, we did it again. Rim 2 Rim 2 Rim all in one day.

Last year it took us 16 hours, 16 minutes to do the trip. That was five hours less than our previous best effort. We were so excited.

So we decided that we could do even better this year. We were shooting for 15 hours. But early on Greg started feeling ill, and it was just a long battle to get out of the canyon. We still ended up doing it in exactly 18 hours, but it was 9:45 pm when we emerged battered, worn, but alive.

We had to get wet feet crossing this tributary, and we were hiking through lots of snow on the North Rim. Even with all of these obstacles, we are already planning on next year.
