Florence and Greg off to Durango on our own

With Ian holding down his lifeguarding job, and Alyssa off in Provo at EFY, we decided to head to Durango for a couple of nights over the 4th of July. We flew up Thursday after work and arrived to see the Lancair being polished after its paint job. 99% done, 20% to go? Who knows. I do like the paint.

After working around the cabin on July 4th, we headed off for a 13 mile hike up Engineer Mtn, round trip.

Up on top where we had lunch. Beautiful!!!

We have wanted to try Mountain Biking for some time, so we rented a couple of bikes. We had a great time, but boy, what a workout going up those steep hills!

Florence on top of Purgatory Ski Resort. Wow. Great views.
