On Saturday April 11th we woke to some rain here in Phoenix. After checking the weather I figured we could get into Grand Canyon Airport, even with the weather. We took up Steve Brinton, Hanna Brinton, Annie Foote, Rhonda Bevers, Carol Goule, Florence and I.
We hiked down the Bright Angel Trail, had lunch at Phantom Ranch (and of course a lemonade), and then hiked up the South Kaibab Trail. It rained, snowed, hailed, was clear and sunny, overcast, cloud covered. The old saying that if you dont like the weather at that moment, just wait five minutes, because it was changing that rapidly

Annie and Rhonda look like could be sisters in these pictures. The weather sure was crazy for you guys! So you reversed the hike? Down bright angel and up S. kaiabab?
