Trip To San Antonio

On Thursday March 18th after work, we hopped into the Lancair and flew over to visit Jenni and Mason in San Antonio. Along for the weekend were Greg, Florence, Ian and Alyssa. With good tail winds, we arrived in under 2 1/2 hours. Considering that the airlines schedule 2 hours 10 minutes for this trip, we made it in good time.

Friday we dropped by the Dental School to see Jenni and Mason in action. Here is Jenni in her operatory.
Here is a random picture that I took the night we arrived at their home. She just opened up a birthday present that we brought.

Here are the four of us in the Lancair. Certainly not as big and spread out as the big twin, but it worked just fine.

We flew into Boerne Stage Field Airport (pronounced Bernie Stage) It is only about 15 minutes from Jenni and Mason's home on the North West side of San Antonio

We went to Sea World on Saturday. It was cold and windy, but we still did all of the water rides.

Greg is ducked down under his hood trying to avoid getting wet up front. Mason on the other hand says "Just bring it on"

Florence got quite soaked on the last ride. At least that is what she is claiming.

We ended up eating not once, but twice at Rudy's Barbecue. Good stuff!!

Florence has always avoided roller coasters. But we got her over that hump this weekend. She even road this one 4-5 times in a row.

Fun times with all of us.

We went to Magic Mountain on Friday after Jenni and Mason finished up in the clinic. Florence rode 3 different coasters here also.

Waiting in line for the final coaster ride of the evening.

We got tired of waiting as a group, so we hopped into the single rider line to get through faster. Here is Ian with a unknown rider.

Another shot of Jenni in her clinic operatory.
The return home was not quite as fast. It took 3 hours as we were fighting headwinds of 35-65 knots all the way home. But Southwest Airlines schedules 2 hours 30 minutes for the return, so 3 hours didn't seem that bad. What a great trip!!
