On Thursday November 3rd Ian received his mission call from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had already told us he wanted to wait and open it when Jordan was there. So on Saturday November 5th we gathered around him to watch him open it.
He was nervous, both in his voice and a tremor in his hands.
There were probably 50 or more family members and friends in attendance to support him. 
He told those in attendance that he was going to be happy wherever he was called, and asked that everyone applaud when he announced it, wherever it might be. 
He read it line by line until--Montevideo Uruguay. He reports to the Buenos Aires Argentina Missionary Training Center on March 15th. 
Of course, lots of applause.
And Hugs.
And more hugs.
Jordan was just as excited to see his nephew Benson as he was to visit the rest of us. He was up bright and early on Saturday morning offering to feed the little guy.
