It is located right along the Animas river halfway between Durango and Silverton. No roads to drive so you have to take the train to get there.

Rather than start in the downtown we instead caught the train at the Rockwood station, only 10 miles from our cabin.

Here is a picture taken from the train as we wind above the animas river. Beautiful.

Standing along the tracks with our harnesses on ready to go.

You can see one of the platforms behind us in this picture.

Florence getting hooked on.

And off she goes backwards and with no hands. She even went upside down a few times. I know. Hard to believe but true.

At one of the tree stands we were hauled straight up using a helicopter winch to gain 100 ft. In elevation.

We crossed over the animas river at least six times.

We even were served lunch in the trees. Good food.

There goes Greg.

Florence waiting for the train to pick us up and take us back to our truck. Fun times.
