Chamonix France

After leaving Phoenix on a hot 114 degree day we flew to London and then Geneva Switzerland. We then hired a private van to drive us the 90 minutes to Chamonix France the starting point of our hiking adventure.












We enjoyed wandering the small streets of this little French village looking for a restaurant for dinner.


Ian and Alyssa flew in 24 hours earlier and we met up with them in Geneva before driving to Chamonix.

Even though it was cold and chilly we all needed a gelato fix.

Monday (tomorrow) is our first day on the trail. 118 miles planned hiking over the next 12 days.
