Korcula Island, Croatia

We departed Split this morning on the ferry bound for Korcula island. It was about a three hour ferry ride in beautiful weather. We took the opportunity to hang out on the upper deck and write our missionary Ian in Uruguay and Greg of course took a nap.


We arrived on the opposite side of the island as Korcula so we enjoyed an hour of going through village after village after village of beautiful seaside towns. Beautiful.


Our hotel is in the best location on the island. Right on the edge of the old city and facing the water.

We enjoyed an hour of swimming and sunning in the clear water.


The tour group we are using here, Croatia-ala-carte has another group here as well on a private cruise. Here is the ship. It holds 8 couples.

Here is the upper deck. They are seeing 6 islands over the week of cruising Croatia. We might have to come back. They include bikes, kayaks, snorkeling equipment.


We wandered the old city before and after an early dinner.

Some enterprising people bought this old turret and converted it into a bar.



We lasted maybe five minutes due to a bunch of drunk Australians being way too loud. But the view was great.

Tomorrow off to Dubrovnik.
